Topic: Client/Server Applications using XML

Perspective and my point of departure:
I have a background in systems engineering and have touched upon web development. I also have experience in using programming HTML for Web development with Dreamweaver MX as a development environment. Coupled with a strong interest in E-commerce applications and how to enable them to perform more efficiently across differing platforms (IE, Firefox, Netscape); I hope to learn more about XML applications, using Java as the development environment, with multiple browsers as the Web clients. This will help me with my current website and other design projects that I have underway.
